The Shamrock Hunt

The 2023 Shamrock Hunt will run March 13th-17th!!  We wanted to share some great news regarding the event this year.  We have been blessed to receive a grant for the hunt this year that will allow us to give back more to the community and make this the best Shamrock Hunt to date!  Instead of one rock, there will be four (4) rocks in 2023 worth $300 each!!  There will be three (3) ‘Fools Gold Rocks’ hidden this year as well and each is worth a special prize.  

In addition, on Tuesday, March 14th, we are declaring Taco Tuesday courtesy of BCRC!  We will be giving away FREE TACOS from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Lumberyard Arts Center, 718 High St. (limit 3) to the first 500 people if you bring a canned good or a non-perishable food item with you.  Let’s see what we can raise for the Baldwin City Food Pantry!  We will pass out the clue of the day for the Shamrock Hunt during this time frame and post it afterwards.  Not hunting?  Come eat tacos and donate to the food pantry anyway!  

As part of the grant, we will have prizes we are raffling off as well.  If you participate in the food drive, you will receive 5 tickets to put towards any of the prizes of your choice.  The drawing for all the prizes will take place on Friday, March 17th (St. Patty’s Day!) at a time we will announce the week of March 13th.  While the food drive starts on the 14th, you can bring in nonperishable items to the BCRC office through March 17th until Noon and still enter yourself into the drawing for prizes.  

Lastly, the point of the Shamrock Hunt is to get outside, exercise, be active and most importantly, have fun!  Search with friends, family or alone, it is up to you. We are excited for the entire week and we hope you have fun with it.  As always, we ask that you are respectful to the grounds on which you are searching and of course, to each other.
