Spring Soccer
BCRC Micro Soccer is an innovative program that introduces children ages 2 to 4 years to the basic skills of soccer. We have partnered with CHALLENGER SPORTS, the country’s largest soccer clinic provider and will use their team of International coaching staff. Both the Cubs (2- 3 years) and the Lions (3-4 years) modules use fundamental soccer activities, games and stories to help your child develop in the following areas: balance, agility and coordination, technical skills, gross motor skills, physical development, social skills, self-confidence, communication and teamwork.

- Cubs (ages 2 to 3): 4 to 4:45 pm (less experienced 3 year old)
- Lions (ages 3 to 4): 5 to 5:45 pm. (more experienced 3 year old)
- Player package includes a size 2 soccer ball and graduation
- Fee: $50
Baldwin City Recreation Commission is offering Spring recreational youth soccer for kids Kindergarten through 8th grade. A total of six Saturday games will be scheduled for each team with games beginning March 25th,2023. All age groups will be co-ed.
New player for the 2023 Spring Season: Included in your registration is a jersey, shorts and socks for all participants.
Returning player from the 2022 Fall Season will be placed on same team as fall season and will use same jersey, shorts and socks.
Kindergarten games will be played in Baldwin City, 1st/2nd grade games will be in Baldwin City and Wellsville. 3rd/4th grade and up will be played in Baldwin City, Eudora, Wellsville, DeSoto and Gardner for 7th/8th grade only. Practices are subject to coaches schedule.
Recreation Commission staff will form all teams with requests considered but not guaranteed.
Important Dates
- Deadline: February 17, 2023
- Practice begins the week of March 6th
- Games beginning March 25th
All registrations received after the listed deadline will be assessed a $15 late fee.
