Don't let the name fool you; this course is for any dog of any age that has an owner in need of basic training help. The 5 week course will cover:
*Basic obedience commands: sit, down, sit stay, down stay, leave it, easy (aka walk nicely on a leash, come
*How to train your dog with positive techniques that makes it fun for both of you
*The need for socialization for young dogs and plenty of safe, supervised opportunities to socialize with a variety of dogs and people
*General discussion on how to better communicate with dogs of all ages
*Basic dog body language
*How to be a benevolent leader to your dog
All dogs must be old enough to be current on basic vaccinations; rabies, parvovirus, and distemper. Bring proof of vaccination to the first class session.
YOUR DOG SHOULD NOT ATTEND THE FIRST CLASS SESSION. Classes last one hour.
The entire family is encouraged to attend and participate in the course; consistency in expectations and commands are critical for dog-human communication success. Children age 12 and over are welcome to attend without parental supervision.
If you want the tools for a strong bond with your dog that will last his entire life, or are even considering giving up on your pet due to behavior or communication problems, this class is for you.
