Dress A Bear Contest
The Dress A Bear contest is a community service project to provide children in need with a cozy companion. Community participants will compete against each other to fashion a bear. The best dressed bears will receive prizes. All bears are donated to a children's organization. The bears touch the lives of children who are suffering by providing "bearapy".
To participate bears may be adopted for "FREE" at the Baldwin City Recreation Office, 715 High Street. The bears will be distributed by first come, first serve basis. There are no rules as to the fashion design of the bear. Bears will be displayed at the BCRC Office from November 30, 2010 to December 4, 2010.
Bears can be picked up beginning November 1, 2010 and must be returned to BCRC by November 24, 2010.
All citizens are invited to judge the bears on the following categories: sportiest, prettiest or cuddliest. Please place ballots in the box next to the bear's display. One prize will be awarded per category. Winners will recieve a $50 savings bond.
